Get a Taste of the Arts

Experience a sampling of the arts Saturday, Feb. 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Moose Exchange, 203 W. Main St., Bloomsburg

A Taste of the Arts is Bloomsburg University’s College of Liberal Arts introduction of the new Center for Visual and Performing Arts. Students and faculty in the art and art history, English, and music, theatre and dance departments will show artwork, give a short theatrical show, read poetry and perform music and dance. Featured performances will include the Jazz Ensemble, Dance Ensemble, Pep Band, Husky Singers and BU Players.

More events at the Moose
An intriguing Black & White exhibit opens Friday, Jan. 27, at Gallery 102 with an artists' reception from 6 to 8 p.m.  Also coming to the Exchange on Friday: Starving Artist/Moose Exchange t-shirts. For $15 show your love and support for the Exchange. 
This weekend, the Community Market returns to the Grille Room on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  There will also be bowling Saturday from 10 to 2 for $5 per person, balls and shoes included.

Et tu?
Quick reminder: The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble will stage Julius Caesar Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27 and 28. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at Alvina Krause Theatre, Center Street. General admission tickets are $12. Adapted and directed by Ensemble member James Goode, Shakespeare's play has reset to a 19th-century milieu.
